Re: Burg @ fairland
with the struggling 1-5 start for the burg anything is possible. IMHO i'll be shocked if they win 8 games this season. this is the worst start to a burg team i've seen in all the years i've been goin to basketball games. i do however think with the exception of the portsmouth game the pirates have been in every game and could easily have just one loss. i look for the burg however to put one in the win colum.
Re: Burg @ fairland
the Burg has had the upper hand for 30 to 40 years give or take a few years in football and basketball. I think they have run there course. Things are changing in pirate sports.

Re: Burg @ fairland
How quick burg fans are turning, most people know that they are young. Barrick will have them at there best by tourney time. Good luck Pirates
Re: Burg @ fairland
i think for the burg to improve their chances of winning shears and hood have to start. let moore, cowgill, claxson come of the bench. this will make their defense faster. keep massie, e.miller and d.miller shooting the ball on offense and let the faster hood and shears fight/scrap under the boards. just a thought

Looks like a very long season for the Pirates this year. No consistency in scoring.

Re: Burg @ fairland
When's the last time they had a losing record? I don't believe Barrick has ever had one

52-38 would be a shootout in a Holgate game!Swanker Pine wrote:1-6 I believe. Is the Burg playing Holgate ball this season?

Re: Burg @ fairland
That's true, but 17-12 at half time? I've seen the other scores and they aren't getting into the 40's hardly
