nice to hear from you army. glad to see that your trip went well. you will be missed at the Schott this week.

wish i could make up to the game on Thursday, but i will be listening on the radio at work. i know that someone had stated elsewhere that the games will be shown on tv. what station will that be on and will they be shown live?? just wondering if i'll be able to set the dvr to record it or not.

Chillicothe can win the state......but it will take their best basketball of the season to do so.

Having watched the Cavaliers 9 times this season........my Portsmouth Trojans were the only team I saw more than CHS.........I know what this team is capable of.........and I know that Chillicothe played a very good schedule in which none of the teams at the state will show them what they haven't seen already. It comes down to execution at both ends......but that's stating the obvious, of course.

One thing I remarked to Hitchbone64 at the Meadowbrook game......I think that on virtually every possession that the Cavaliers have, Anthony Hitchens should at least get a touch. This is a kid who has not been stopped by ANYBODY this year........and I think his presence gives CHS a real shot at winning the BIG trophy. Of course his supporting cast have to do their roles, but AH has played superbly in every BIG game this year......and I look for more of the same vs. Poland Seminary.

I think in the Poland game, the bench is going to be taxed quite a bit.....and they will have to be ready to make plays. Chillicothe's starting 5 is about as good as anybody's in the state, and their defense has been stellar all year, but how the bench contributes may be the determining factor in whether they win the state or not.

Good luck Cavaliers from this Portsmouth Trojans fan!!

If chilli plays like they did against VC.. there is no reason that these boys wont be putting rings on their fingers. Anthony Hitches is gonna have to take somplete control of this game. Knight plays a tough defense and Sugar Ray is gonna have to be strong down low. I think the cavs can win this game.

I haven't seen Poland, so I can't say anything about them...but, I don't really think it's about Poland. I think it's about CHS and them deciding from the get-go that they will play their game. I think the LE game was really good for them. It showed them that if you let another team dictate what type of game you play, then you're vulnerable (like anybody is).

I have to give Coach K. a lot of credit for having these kids ready to play game in and game out and keeping the egos off the floor. This is a true team, and that's why they're competing for a state championship.

P.S. I have a feeliing I'm going to see Hitchens shreddin' the nylons at the Convo for the next 4 years against my Bobcats...Timmy O'Shea, I hear the sound of a ball being dropped...right in our backyard!

Lots of good wishes and lucky thoughts going out to Chillicothe. Hope you have a huge turnout at the game to give the boys lots of support.
