yo dshanton, hitchbone, army, and all other chillicothe posters........didn't a little someone named pinapplrdhwk say earlier this week that NO ONE was going to contain humpty????? Yes i definitely did.....we are proud of these cavs. Keep up the hard work guys
I knew benson would get his, but like i said and it was obvious you simply can not shut down chambers AND humpty, they can only stop themselves.
GO CAVS

Hump just might be the most exciting player I've ever watched in SE Ohio..on the boys side.
That was a WOW performance by him for sure. Wellston was rockin....great game.
Could not believe how much the Dunbar coaches complained......and I don't mean on close calls...on everything...a touch ridiculous.
That would've been a tough game to ref...they did pretty well..but man I wish they would've done the Jackson/Wellston game..I don't care that it's Derrow's brother and all from Wellston...they'd have been less biased.

Ironman92,
I wish Derrow would have got officials from somewhere else. The game was to fast and to physical for them. Totally called the game inconsistent. I am not bad mouthing them (as I have some), but I just believe the game was to much in front of them. I heard whistles on fouls that you thought would be committed, heard whistles well after the fact, and heard no whistles when kids landed on their heads.
GO CAVS!!!

I watched Chillicothe outplay Dunbar from start to finish. Anthony Hitchens once again stepped up in the big game......and the Wolverines had no answer for him. Seth Dawes played a very good game, and battled hard in the paint. The two 3's by Caleb Knights were very big when Dunbar was mounting a comeback.
Perhaps most importantly, though, was Chillicothe's defensive mentality. They continued to harass Dunbar all over the court, and I believe in the tournament that's what will make the Cavaliers very difficult to beat. We all know our team's shots may not fall on a particular night, but your defense should be a constant.......and in CHS's case......it should be pressure, pressure, and pressure.
I don't see anyone beating Chillicothe through the regionals with a performance like they had last night.

Outstanding Pics of the CAVS in Action
Chilli got all the tickets for the Zanesville game that were requested by there AD. Better get there early or you won't get in.
Great win for the Cavs and there program. Now that they are considered one of the elite teams in Ohio they can start acting like it on the court. No need for all the "show". Act like you belong where your at.

What are you talking about...act like you belong where your at
Do I sense a spark of sarcism there tended towards our CAVS
I thought that Hitchens was the best player on the court....however I thought he had the worst attitude. FROM WHAT I SAW, Hitchens was a instigator on the court. I have watched Dunbar at the State Tournyey and that is how they play. It is different when you get out of southeastern ohio. I heard kids behind me saying "Dunk it" every time it went down to the post. That's because they haven't been outside of SE Ohio. As far as the officiating, I thought it was very inconsistent. There is a topic about "BEST OFFICIALS IN SE OHIO." The crew that had this game, I made a comment about them being one of the best around. I guess I was wrong, or maybe they are just used to southeast ohio games. Chilly wants to complain, but it was bad both ways. How about the NO CALL when Chilly's 'red head' (sorry I dont know names) made a lay up and Dunbar tried to take a charge. I'm not saying it was a charge. IT HAD TO BE SOMETHING THOUGH. That was a charge or a block, one or the other. To sum it up though, Hitchens has an attitude that won't be tolerated in college.

chill
That's my "old school complaint" about Hitchens. He's such a ham bone. The kid is good and has skills, but he's difficult to watch. Sorry Bronc, While I watch him, I find it difficult to get "over" it. He will not be able to play at (Akron) with such dramatics!

A well played game by Hitchens. He's one of the best players I have saw in a while. He'll do fine at Akron.
I expected more out of Ray but he shut down Benson.
The Red headed kid (sorry i dont know all the names) played with heart and i liked that.
Dunbar's coach's complained to much. But for the most part they had good sportsmanship. ther was a couple of players that wouldnt clap for Hitchens as he got his award but they were yelled at for it.
All i've heard for the past week was how good Benson was. He didnt impress me one bit. He's too weak. He couldnt match up against Ray.
Nice Win Cavs!

tubby and tropicalbreeze,
Where did you guys play or coach in college (D1) to qualify you to determine if a kid can or cannot play at Akron. The game last night was extremely intense and there was absoutely no showmanship. Just kids going at it hard. Your problem is you obviously have not seen real ball played. Watch some of the better teams go at it, and you will see pushing, shoving and talking going on all game.
The kids all shook hands after the game and the Dunbar coaches were very complimentary towards the Cavs. Dunbars coach and Coach K are very close. They have played in Coach K. tourneys for years. Dunbar runs a class program and so do the Cavs. We just happen to be the better team last night.
As for the officials, I do agree they were inconsistent. I was not happy with their calls, but personnaly I believe the game is played different in Southern Ohio, then in Central, and Northern parts.
In the end, we saw a great game with tournament atmoshere and the Cavs were victors in another big game this year.
GO CAVS!!!
