The seven are relatively obvious - New Lex., Miami Trace, Fairfield Union, Washington CH.
The next four -- Marietta, Ironton, Gallia Academy, Warren.
The next four -- Vinton County, Sheridan, Alexander, Unioto.

Marietta has the 6th best winning percentage in the district and 7th in overall Martin RPI (which would be higher if out of state teams were fairly measured in the computer calculations).

Sheridan is 10th in the Martin RPI and was defeated recently by an 8-10 team. Marietta has not lost to anyone with more than 6 losses, and has won 11 of its 13 games by double-digits.

Just some additional perspective with data.

You paint a good picture for Marietta’s quality. Be cool if every school we talk about, cover and rank would have someone of your sorts.

For seeding purposes many coaches will ignore a lot of it if it helps what they think they need for their team’s chances.

At least 2 or 3 of these will be correct, but not much more. As a Unioto guy, I’d be all for the Tanks dropping to the 13 though.

I think you can almost pencil in Warren in that 8-9 slot

Marietta has only beaten 3 teams with a winning record..

Warren
John Glenn
Belpre

Teams they have beat are 70-110
Teams they have lost to are 71-22

Fair to say when they play someone with a decent team they struggle...granted they don't have a bad loss but who have they really beat??

I will give Warren's

Beaten 6 teams without a losing record

Belpre
Jackson
Union Local
Marietta
Zane Trace
Waterford

Teams they beat are 112-120
Teams they lose to are 75-36

Warren has a bad loss at Point Pleasant on their record and the first loss to Marietta in like 5 years also got beat by a good Fairland team at the buzzer....Warren hasn't played a strong schedule but a decent one

In DII, possibly things would change if another week (next week) were added. It is doubtful much would change due to the Friday-Saturday games. A little shuffling in the top 4 but the same teams, and no change in the order of the next 4.

Respectfully, Sheridan won’t be higher than 10th and could be 11th or 12th.
