Could be for the TVC-Ohio championship.

Monday's game can be heard live on Power 105.5FM and wxtq.com or the Power 105 app.

Who wins?

... I like the fact that Brayden Whiting is shooting/scoring like he is right now ! 40 points the last outing ... I watched Athens earlier in the season (I believe I texted you 93dog during your broadcast) - he wasn't getting the touches he NEEDS for AHS to win ... he's a scorer of the ball who can average 20+ ppg BUT not if he doesn't get the ball ... the tough part of this game for the Bulldogs is that Coach Combs will try to take THAT away from Athens - Whiting putting up 20+ points ... the question is can Matters/Harris/Welsh be enough of offensive threats to make VC play everyone straight up ... I'll be interested in the napkin stat line for Athens' 6-5 big in the middle Derrick Welsh ... VC doesn't have the size inside to guard Welsh one on one - want to see how that inside game turns out > if they have to help on Welsh will Welsh find Whiting et al? ... going to be a great one to listen to on the radio tomorrow night ! watching Jackson vs McClain and listening to the 105.5 radio broadcast from Vinton County !!!

Asa is 6'5 for Vinton County, about the same size as Derek, Floyd. They had a pretty good battle last time out.
Whiting needs to average 26.4 over the next 5 games to reach a thousand. If Athens could knock off Unioto, then that 26.4 drops. Only 3 players in Athens history have accomplished the feat.

VC has some offensive momentum the last two games and the Wellston game was clicking on all cylinders. If Karr and Montgomery can keep it going tonight VC will be tough to beat at home.

Athens won by 4. VC struggled offensively but had chances. Gritty game, congrats Athens on TVC Championship 👍

Good defensive game. VC held Whiting down. Matters, Harris, and Welsh played well for Athens. Seems like this game always goes down to the wire

Pretty ugly game. Teams might have combined for 69 turnovers in 3rd qtr alone, but it's always a hard place to get a W and proud of the Dogs for getting the sweep over VC and going 2 games up in the TVC. Way to persevere Dogs, no excuses!

I had Athens with 18 turnovers and Vinton County 14 ... That's not terrible. Not great either though.

Athens 11 11 11 14 - 47
VC 10 12 4 17 - 43

The 11-4 3rd Q was a killer for the Vikes.

Athens (11-7),(9-0)

Will Matters - 15
Trey Harris - 10
Brayden Whiting - 11 pts, 11 rebounds
Derek Welch - 10 pts, 14 rebounds, 4 blocks
Jacob Sayers - 1 pt

Vinton County (12-6),(9-2)

Montgomery - 7
Radabaugh - 9
Damron - 11
Carr - 11
Davidson - 2 pts, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks
Matteson - 3

The 69 was obviously an exaggeration, but man that 3rd qtr was UGLY. Great to get the W. Go Dogs!
