I hope you’re right. Waverly will need to get out and run, don’t let Unioto turn it into a half court game.
We can do both
No secret Waverly will have to contain the Little man, he makes them go. Like to see Brown on him.

I’d be ok with that matchup. That would at least keep him off the offensive glass

Futhey and Smallwood will clean that up.

It’s still one less monster to worry about

Hard to really say, especially with the Shermans ability to play pretty good defense. If the Tigers get scoring out of a couple of there big's, then I might have to give a slight edge to Waverly. I also agree that how the officials call the game could have a very big impact on the outcome of the game. The thing is that one of these teams is going to walk off that floor being very happy, whereas the other very good team will be getting out the gloves and bats next week.

Yep. I think this will be one of the better sectional championship games in the area

Just hoping for a clean, competitive, injury free game. This could be one of your biggest crowds you see in a game all year. I hope the atmosphere is something for kids from both teams to remember forever and Regardless of the outcome a really good team is going home Saturday night.

I listened as well, as I always do. They definitely aren't already packed for the convo. They know, as well as everyone else, that Saturday nights game is going to be a war. They aren't overlooking Unioto, if the Tigers don't bring their A+ they will be going home with an L. Now they did discuss getting back to the Convo in the postgame, because that is one of the goals the Tigers had set for the season. That's what every team entering the tournament in this area should strive for, that means a sectional championship was won. Making it to the convo is a big deal to these kids so them discussing that post game is in response to that being another motivator for Saturday Night. But take it how you want.

Should be a really fun game that I could easily see going either way. Both teams have a couple advantages they can exploit.

True 50/50 in my opinion.

Nothing wrong with that at all. That’s every kid and teams goal to get there.

I’d honestly like to see Stulley or Futhey on him and pressure him w some physicality, an average Hillsboro defense forced him into AT LEAST 6/7 turnovers last night. So let’s not say a physical game (like last nights) benefits the U lol

And if the game is allowed to get that physical your guards will turn the ball over just the same but won’t benefit from their normal 46 foul shots. So I’d so it would be to our advantage

Waverly comes in as a slight underdog in this contest. Unioto at the 4 spot and Waverly a 5 seed.

Zeke getting healthy and back on track was a life saver last night. Double double by him and Will I believe.

Lots of grabbing and holding off the ball last night. Trey could of ended up at the line more than he did. He got around his man and took it all the way to the rim more than he normally does. He takes a lot of body shots as defenders come at odd angles to contest the shot and end up contacting as he is shooting. Gotta make that call.

Should be a dandy game.

Sometimes crews call it a decent bit and some crews don’t call much of it. Some really let them play and usually doesn’t take many tournament games to get a crew that won’t call a whole lot. Something to do with Unioto’s style of play has them seemingly in a physical game every game. Our game at Unioto was maybe the most physical game of our season with the with the most amount of contact/physicality not called. Our next game was called much closer and was tough to adjust to quickly without foul trouble.

If I’m Waverly I know it’s going to be a physical game and I’d be ready for not a lot of calls in the lane unless it’s significantly affecting things.

Be interesting to see how Unioto will limit Trey but also not get killed on the boards. Unioto bigs will need to be big.
