Hillsboro played a good game vs a very good Blanchester squad.

Dang. His average was 34.6 going into the game. No wonder it was close.

Played him primarily straight up man. Sophomore Price did a great job on him....not an open seat in the gym...Hillsboro is over the flu bug that has hit them last 2 weeks and if they get hot they are a tough out.

Portsmouth's 53-33 loss at home to Ironton pretty much was indicative of how the season has gone for the Trojans. A respectable first half, trailing only 23-21, then a collapse in the final 16 minutes, getting outscored 30-12 as Portsmouth couldn't buy a basket with ice cold shooting. Still, the Trojans only committed 10 turnovers, while the Fighting Tigers had 13. IHS almost doubled PHS on the boards.

The loss dropped Portsmouth to 8-12, and it most likely means a 2nd straight losing season, as the Trojans would need 5 more wins just to break even. If there is a silver lining from last night, it is that the Trojans have everybody back in their rotation next season except Matthew Fraulini, while Ironton loses 8 seniors, including 4 starters from last night's game (Grizzle, Freeman, Millison, and Salyers).
