It is really hard to find schedules and scores for the East district, when you trying to do 50 or more schedules, I spend a little over hundred dollars a month to subscribe to five or six newspapers online for three months ,I guess it's something to keep me busy during the winter and the love of high school basketball

I love the home-field advantage aspect to the tourney but I really miss the old sectionals. I loved going to Meadowbrook and watching double headers. I remember one year I went watched 2 games in Meadowbrook during the day then went to Coshocton and watched 2 games that night. The Southeast still has some epic days at the convo.

It just doesn't have the same feel to the tournaments, like it did back in the day,I think the boys got pump to go play at neutral site, I've noticed the last few seasons, and knowI Hiland has home court advantage in the sectionals,if it's because we we're playing a playing a 15 or 16 seed team, the guys were not into mentally and crowd was dead silent, high School basketball sometimes is 50 percent mentally getting your self ready for the tournaments

I think of the three divisions in the East district, probably D2 is the weakest, then D3 and D4 are neck and neck, maybe giving the edge to D4,in D2 I would have to give the edge to Tri-Valley and Meadowbrook as of right now, for the two to get to OU. In D3 I still think it's a three team race for the D3 district title, with Fort Frye, Ridgewood and Tusky Valley and maybe Barnesville if they just could play a little D once in a while, in D4 it's going to be a real dog fight for the district title this year, Zanesville Bishop Rosecrans with Aton of experience back, Hiland with three starters back last years state runner-up finish, Malvern loaded this season with two bigs at 6'5" and a very good point guard, I'm sure there's going to be a upset or two in one of these divisions,a long the way

Yep the the General's are for real this season, first time they beaten us since 2003-04 season,we had our chances to widen the lead in first half couldn't make foul shots,up by four at the half, then one of there ace three point shooters got hot in the third qtr. It was all over played catch up the rest of the way,the road doesn't get any easier for the Hawks this Friday at Tusky Valley another real good D3 team standing at 8-2,then a very good D2 Triway comes to Hiland with tones of experience back I there 10-1, hopefully these tough games make us better team by tournament time
