Northwest also hit one from 3/4 court at the end of the 3rd vs Valley tonight. The Indians won by 8 or so... 54-46 or close to it.

Honestly the only reason I do it is for those who can’t make it or listen to the games and they can read back on how it went down. Without a full run down like I post you’d look at our record and say we suck (1-4) but really webster has grinded out three games to the final minute with Green, Waverly, and Minford. Probably gonna get blown out by Fairland tomorrow though so make it 1-5 😂

I know you wear rose colored lenses and since they played Burg fairly close you think that.... but no. Just no. Burg played a bad game, it was only their 2nd game of the season.

West will finish below .500 in the league and I’d bet my house on it.

Oak Hill and Burg will beat them twice apiece

Minford beats them twice

Waverly twice, even injured.

That’s 8-8 in a best case scenario.... but Webster, Valley, Eastern, and possibly even Northwest could easily take 1 (or maybe even 2 if they’re hot) against them.

West will be 6-10 or 5-11 in the conference.

West is very athletic. You’re kidding yourself if you think they can’t end up second and third, most likely third because they won’t have an answer for oak hills big guy

A banged up Waverly already beat them by double digits, next time they play Waverly will have at least one of those kids back.

I’m a big fan of Hafer, I think he does a good job with his kids. But there’s zero chance West finishes 2nd in the league and less than 5% that they finish 3rd.

Oak Hill, Burg, and a healthy Waverly are the top 3 teams in SOC 2 with Minford potentially playing spoiler on someone.

Ok. I’ll check back. I think they will upset some teams this year.

U trying to jinx the Mighty Eagles aren't u?😁.. Speaking of Cochenour,Norm caught wind that he scores the ball a bit and his best defensive players hounded Hunter from the tip til the final buzzer. He ended up scoring in DBL figures but had to be hardest he's ever worked for ten points. Kudos to Oak Hill for playing tough physical d.

He's a great player, he just had a terrible night shooting the ball last night. I wouldn't bet a bundle on this but I had him for 8 pts, plus that's what the big scoreboard had. He only had 5 pts for a very long time, and then hit a 3 after Norm took the starters out. Later when they come to OH, I will not be surprised if he goes off for 30. He did start pressing quite a bit, but he was getting his shots, they were just not falling.

It’s 2am and I can’t sleep so I’m putting together some stats for my boys right now. Letting the numbers tell us how bad we are at 1-5 so far.

SW has played 24 quarters of basketball
Won 13 Q
Lost 10 Q
Tied 1 Q ( Minford 1st 18-18)

Quarter Scoring averages
1st 14.16 Webster 16.3 Opponent
2nd 13.3 Webster 8.5 Opponent
3rd 15.8 Webster. 12.5 Opponent
4th 13.5 Webster 18.3 Opponent

South Webster averages 56.8 PPG
Opponent average is 56.1 PPG
If we remove the East win the stats change to

54 PPG Webster
63PPG Opponent

South Webster has had 7 20+ point quarters of play
South Webster has given up 20+ in 6 quarters of play
South Websters average margin of loss is 9 points
South Websters largest margin of loss is 14 to Valley
South Websters smallest margin of loss is 6 to Waverly and Minford
South Websters largest margin of victory is 49 points LOL

South Webster has LED IN THE 4th in 4/6 Games with 3 of those being losses

South Webster DEFENSE had held opponents to under 10pts in 6/24 quarters. To contrast, the offense has been held to less than 10 6/24 quarters

Webster has been outscored in the 1st Quarter 3/6 with 1 tie
Outscored in the 2nd one time
Outscored in the 3rd twice
Outscored in the 4th 4 times

In our 5 losses In the 4th Q

Green - Webster led 48-45 entering. Green led 60-57 with 56 seconds left to play. 18-12 Green

Waverly - Webster led 50-39 entering. The score subsequently was 54-52 Jeeps with 1:46 remaining
60-56 with 3.3 remaining. 23-6 Waverly

Minford - Webster entered at 52-48
The score was 64-63 Minford with 1.00 on the clock
22-12 Minford

Fairland - the score was 41-35 Fairland with 5 minutes remaining. 24-20 Jeeps this quarter

hope you enjoyed this post. PSA. Don’t drink a Bang at 11pm or you’ll be digging through your old threads doing game break downs by quarters

I usually get my scoring stats wherever I can find them on twitter and someone had him at 10, I apologize if I reported the wrong scoring total originally

Had him for 10 in the box score on Sosa but either way, not a typical night for him.
