Agreed!! VC's starters should be eating hot dogs and hitting on cheerleaders mid way through the 3rd.

Good game tonight. Vikings started very slow but made a nice comeback after being down 17. The Vikings will vastly improve once Naylan and Nevan Yates come off the disabled list. Heard they are both out again tomorrow night against Logan. Good hustle and Speakman went for over 40 tonight. NY is much improved over last year. But, I think it will be a totally different game when they travel to VC later this season.

Has Combs ever lost to NY before tonight?

I know during the 2005-06 season that NY won at VC on a last second shot that the Buckeyes hit close to half court. Not sure if there were any more recent, but Combs has lost to the Buckeyes before tonight. I predict that Vinton County will still win the TVC Ohio by themselves.

Coach is a darn good man and I have a lot of respect for him.
He did the best he could for the time he coached and I will always show nothing but respect for him.

NY also won at VC the year they had Kidd and Remy (sorry if that is spelled incorrectly) cost VC the title and Athens went on to win that year. NY had the seniors of Carter, Blake and Walker. Fayette and Killbarger played a big role as Juniors and Adams, Reed and Elliott played huge, huge roles as sophomores as Reed and Adams started for the buckeyes at the time.
In 05-06 it was Jay Edwards who hit the half court buzzer beater to defeat the vickings which had a very good basketball team that year. That is the only two times I can think of but I could definitely be wrong.

I was wrong about this one. Great game by both teams. VC down early and NY hit their foul shots. Next month when the game is at VC we will see what happens. I Listened to the game and the broadcasters wher actually pretty good. However, didnt like the fact they were making fun of a vikings playets appearance. Poor choice

Logan will get the W tomorrow. VC has an easy stretch starting Tuesday though starting at RV, then Wellston, Meigs and Alex at Home before Christmas.

I commend Combs for sitting players until they are healthy. Favoring an injury can cause another. Get em healthy and get some MO before Tourney. VC will bounce back . Even with the loss they will still be hard to beat in the TVC. NY greatly improved with new coach.
