Warren Warriors 2015-2016

Post by Whs95fan »

Haven't heard much talk this year about the team so far or how the team will take shape, any 9th graders expected to contribute?

Warren had a strong JV team last year suffering only one loss in their final game of the season so it'll be interesting to see who steps up from that squad to the varsity team.

Warren also got a move in from Charleston WVa. ... going to be a help on the inside for the Big Bad Blue at 6-3 or 6-4 ...

Warren will be good as always.......but there will be plenty of competition for the D2 district and regional titles. Unioto has a lot coming back, Chillicothe is again D2 with both very quick guards returning, Africentric is now D2 and will be a real threat to come out of Columbus. Bloom-Carroll and Bishop Hartley could be teams to watch. John Glenn out of the East District has come close the last 2 years to winning the regional.

Warren BOE did not vote to go into the ECOL Monday night ... so there is hope for the SEOAL staying together in form down the road ... only time with tell I suppose ...

Isn't next year 2 from South east and 2 from the east in the regionals?

Warren may be a little down this year , but they have proven that they have a solid program that wins year after year.

Raider6309: Not sure of the D2 regional setup, but if the Central District is excluded from the Athens regional, then that certainly makes it easier for both the SE and East Districts. I thought I saw on another SEOPS thread that with the new enrollment division numbers, only 1 SE team will advance to the D2 regional, as was the case last year. I do know that D2 gained Waverly and Chillicothe, and lost Minford to D3.
