*Whiteoak
Either team can win. Seip, Taggert and Carraher must stay out of foul trouble.
It's a 50/50 game.

I think Fairfield wins this one. I think they have more overall talent, just a matter of whether they can put it together for a whole game. They have had a very streaky year but regardless of who wins, I wouldn't want to play either team in Athens.

a long time since either team has played which team benefits most from the lay off?

Hard to say. I think you could argue either way.sparky wrote:a long time since either team has played which team benefits most from the lay off?

As an unbiased spectator, I was impressed with Fairfield last night. I had the best seat in the house and the Lions are an athletic team that played very hard. Quinten Williams is the best player that I have seen so far in the tournament at Valley. He is a very good ball handler and can score the ball. I did think they took some bad shots at times and they had a few issues guarding Doc Seip (A lot of teams would), but overall they are a pretty good team. No disrespect to East, but Fairfield and Whiteoak were the two best teams in Lucasville last night, IMO.
All and all, Eastern will have their hands full at the Convo next week.

Sounds like it should be a dandy then if Eastern wins tonight!

Agree with Crabs brother. I went to see Seip play but was impressed with the Williams kid. Just happened to set beside his grandfather ( I'm from Minford) and we talked . He said Williams had like 490 points this year coming into this game. Gets on hot streaks. Said in one game he had 4 pts. first half and 28 the second. I thought the Bates kid inside played well also. About 6'4 or 5 and is aggressive. Seip can jump out of the gym and scored 20+ but that was about it for White Oak. The three pt. shooter got in foul trouble which hurt them bigtime.

if only they didnt have to play each other. No way those two teams are the 4th and 5th best teams in the sectional, IMOCrab's brother wrote:As an unbiased spectator, I was impressed with Fairfield last night. I agree I think they are the 3rd and 4th best. Behind Notre Dame and Webster.

The Bates kid is a strong player too. Having seen Webster several times, I think they are better than Whiteoak and basically a hoop give or take with Fairfield. I have not seen ND (I will in about 2 hours) but knowing they put one on Whiteoak early, I expect quite a bit.

Congratulations to the Lions!!! It's always bitter sweet beating someone from your own league so early.
I'm sure WO will be eager to settle the score during baseball season.
On a side note:
What's up with the lighting at Valley HS. Why so dark?
