Waverly Basketball - Varsity Shootout - June 16
Re: Waverly Basketball - Varsity Shootout - June 16
Pfloyd give us your take on the games. This will be the first year in quite a while I haven't been able to watch any local shoot outs. I went to this one last year and watched some of the best players in the area. I think there were 5 District POY that played in this last year. Pfloyd I hope you get to see some great talent as well. Tell us who looks good early on.

Heard Fairfield went 6-0 on the day (10-0 on the summer now) and beat Waverly by 9 in the finals. Gonna be a bad night for anyone playing them next year.

Easy now...lol..after watching them both play, it's a pretty good chance that Fairfield will lose their season opener against E.C., just like they have the past 2 seasons...should be a great game to watch though!

I have to agree bubbabilly. Da Tigers looked pretty good this summer and will have some nice additions to work with this winter. Heibel is back which will make a difference at the point (frees up JP and Hart to play the 2 and 3). The move in from NY (Frank ???) and exchange student (Atila Castro) from Brazil will make an impact, adding depth on the inside with Rinehart and Bolin-Hitchens. That's 7 solid players and there are others I didn't mention who have the potential to step up (Pearl & Gilbert are two I heard good things about this summer). Also heard about a Freshman who could be playing varsity. I didn't leave anyone out on purpose, just can't remember right now, lol.
