Portsmouth 48
Piketon 32 a final

... Portsmouth's senior post player Dion McKinley came within 5 points of knocking off Piketon singlehandedly ... as McKinley owned the paint for the Trojans hitting for 28 points on the night 6 baskets on offensive rebounds AND a monster dunk to keep this years record at the Convo of at least one dunk per night of action going ... with McKinley supplying the offensive punch down low the Portsmouth TEAM made this a no doubter by defensively holding the Red Streaks of Coach Lisath to 5 points in the opening quarter and just 3 points in the 3rd to knock the young Piketon squad (only one senior) from further Convo action ... McKinley + TEAM Defensive = Portsmouth 48 Piketon 32 a final ...

Mckinley was a beast inside and from the free throw line tonight. Carter was as advertised as well. Alot of lopsided district games tonight.

... Southern vs Manchester followed by South Webster vs Symmes Valley ... a Tuesday night two-fer at the Convo tonight ... many questions to be answered for sure not the least of which being "Will D4 keep the dunk streak alive tonight ??? - as every night at least one dunk has been thrown down during Basketball Thirty ... we'll be there in the Cheap Seats - pencil/napkins in hand ready to see who can claim THEY should have been ranked as the top D4 school on the Elite 8 rankings ... gotta love a good story line ...

... Lou! wore the OU scarf this morning, will have it in tow as that sun sets on the Convo this evening as I walk up the entrance ramp into Basketball Thirty ... thanks my friend ! ...

The dunk by the South Webster kid tonight was awesome! But Floyd is trying to say it didn't count since their was a foul on the floor during the 'pass-off-the-glass.'

lol

I say "IT'S GOOD!"

If I had a sign that said '10' on it - I would have been holding it up like at a dunk contest ... Floyd's always tryin to ruin the party ... lol ... I say we out-vote him on this one and say THE STREAK DOES IN FACT CONTINUE!

There might be a video of this later on. David can get up there. He's been doing it ever since 3rd grade jumping off the swings at recess 8)

lol ... Darn it Floyd ... That's not cool at all man ... That was probably the highlight of the night with both games being somewhat blowouts ...

Thank goodness he got one though - we may have argued over the 'mystery' slam for years!!
