Waverly MUST control the paint with big games from Martin, Kretzer and Ward. If the Tigers control the paint, hit some big 3's and play hard nosed defense they should be advancing to play Friday night. Taking care of the ball will be crucial.

If there was ever a game where the #7 seed was favored over the #2 seed this would be it. However, I think Miami Trace should be a 3-4 point favorite. Look at how close Waverly has lost some of their games this year - especially early on. They really were only soundly beaten (at full strength) twice by Logan Elm and Portsmouth.

I think Waverly "upsets" Miami Trace. The panthers dont have much of a post presence with their tallest, and probably most skilled, player on the team being 6'2" Isaiah Carson. If Waverly uses their height advantage on the boards they should win this one.

"You are what your record says you are"--Bill Parcells

There's a reason why Miami Trace is 15-4 and Waverly is under .500. Yes, Waverly has lost a ton of tough games, but you have to be able to fight through adversity and win at least a couple of those.

I'll take MT by 6, although, Waverly probably has more talent.

WKKJ has Waverly up 9-7 in the second, though that's probably not updated.

Waverly is up 30-14 at the half! I'll admit I was wrong on this one.

Waverly had one of the toughest seasons I have seen. I watched them play South Webster twice this year and knew they were much better than their record indicated and most of their losses were under 5 points. Also, Miami Trace lost to Division 4 Fairfield in January and although Fairfield is not a bad Division 4 team---you had to know that they were not as good as their record indicated......

Go Tigers!

Good game by Waverly they controlled the paint. (which they should have). Wasnt a 3 for all, 3-15 from behind the arc cut that down to about 10 pops out there and they are in business. Nice seeing them score off of assists tonight hopefully they are starting to get it. Good Job Tigers on to Friday.
