Ironton seems to get "homered" everywhere they go :122246

4 low vs man and zone 1-3-1 ward probably wont come out of his zone,, if ironton goes a 4 low the shooters will light it up from the corners. Ironton will press and it will be over by half time

At 11:45 PM - at least 2+ inches of snow already on the ground here in Ironton, and still snowing hard. It's just barely below freezing, so it has accumulated more on the ground than on the pavement, but it's still snowing and the temp is dropping. What does it look like north of here? Colder? - more or less snow? You Wheelersburg and Portsmouth people undoubtedly traveled to Jackson on 4-lane Rts 23 and 32. Wonder what Rt 93 will look like tomorrow for Ironton and Coal Grove teams and fans to travel all the way up to Jackson and back. Doesn't sound promising.

Jus came down 32 and then 23 through Portsmouth and out to the West Side and the roads are pretty slick.

Another example would be to look at Portsmouth. I believe they went 12-6 with a loaded roster. So as you can see, anything can happen on any given night. If you look at Portsmouth threads, there are folks from portsmouth who think their team could lose to Lucasville. That would be nearly impossible, but I guess on a small scale still possible.
Ironton needs to turn on the defensive pressure and take care of the basketball on offense. if they do that, they will advance to The Convo.

sad that these two schools, seperated by only about 4 miles, have to travel 45 miles to play. Couldnt they just play this game at Rock Hill?

What? And deprive the good people of Jackson there 2 dollar parking fee?

Ironton will have such an easy victory they should sit some starters, just for the fun of it.

Ironton will win this one so easily that they might not be ready for the next round, whoever the team is there going to be playing.

ALMOST GAME TIME
On the radio on WIRO 1230 AM
On the net: http://www.foxsports1230.com/pages/scores.html
Click beside the TIGER face down in the middle of the page.
And apparently this works ONLY if you use IE, not with Firefox.

The fighting Tiger Countdown pre-game show came on a couple of minutes ago. I have stated a separate UPDATES thread. GO FIGHTING TIGERS!

It was the Freshman coach. I support the boys, the refs were leaning alot towards Ironton, but the coaching staff at CG is non existant. No plays whatsover, not smart enough to clear the floor out so they do not get trapped everytime, and not teaching them to NEVER pick up your driblle when you cross mid court, and pretty classless for not getting subs in sooner then 2 minutes when you are down 20 something. No Class. Whether you are up 20 or down twenty, they all show up everday for practice and u cheat them out of playing in a Sectional game, could be their last one. Go Hornets, your fans support you. We will start over next year and continue improving. It is sad to see a school have to drop down from D2 to D3 to half win game in sports.

HORNETS Keep Your Headds UP!!
