I came up empty-handed across from White's Mill in Athens. What have you had success with there and are there any other places in Athens that are decent spots?

Mainly going after bass and panfish. I use quite a few lures, not really a live bait user. I put in a few hours using rapalas, jigs and spinners.

Well if You dont mind geting Wet, You should try wading that area, The waters not to deep in most spots and it will increase Your Chances in that Area, I usually wade From the Mill down to KFC. As far as baits I use One bait , a Shallow Running Shad Rap in Baby Bass color(Walmart), Just Cast along the bank And use a Slow Retrieve. Ive Caught Alot of Fish doing this , Mostly Smallies And Sauger, but have also Caught, Crappie, Drum, White Bass, LM, Catfish, Hybrid Striper.
