Dove season 2009

How has the dove season gone for you? I usually go to public land where in the past few years two fields have been managed for the birds and having good success but this year has been horrible. It's a good news/bad news thing . Two more fields were added but none of the four were properly prepared and maintained. I'd like some idea if anyone else has done any good.
