We was going to stay for two nights but the boys got drenched today, I have a blind and never got wet but they were in stands and forgot to load there umbrellas.. We spent most of the day in the woods it was lighting and thunder roaring. Seen a basket rack buck and 2 does. Didnt shoot anything with the bow. The b.....

My brother seen a bear in the Wildlife area last season. The DNR has a couple bears tagged and collared. You can check in with the office and see when the bear is at any time... :D

Has anyone been out in the woods the past couple of days?

If not, you are missing out!

Last night I had 5 does and 7 bucks around me for over an hour. The same deer came out an hour earlier last night compared to Tuesday night because of the temperature drop and high pressure system moving in.

2 smaller 6 pts and 2 decent 8pts were locking up all evening last night while I also watched a decent 10pt go to town on a small tree and then make a scrape. One of the bigger bucks was walking around with the hair on his back standing up, stiff legged and ears pinned back. Stuff you dont see until early November was happening last night.

Weather is supposed to change over to rain, so if you are itching to get out in the treestand tonight will probably be the last night of this excitement for a little while.

Are they ragging on you since they out did you? If my boys got one before me I would never hear the end of it. thats why I let them use the spray bottle that has perfume in it.

I took a really nice mainframe 10 pt tonight with my Mathews DXT. It was another great night in the woods. 4 does and 2 shooter bucks. I actually missed a doe at 6:45pm when I shot just over her back at 36 yards. As luck would have it I had a solid 8pt come in on me just before dark and 30 yards behind him was the 10pt that I shot. I waited until everything calmed down and went back in at 9:30pm and I had my hands on him after 30 minutes of trailing him. I will try to post some pics tomorrow.

Doesnt bother me. Ill get one. My wifes oldest nephew is the one that is competitive about his huntin, but he took a new job and wont have that much time to hunt, this year. All I care about is havin those freezers loaded up. Let em laugh and mock me, I will be eatin right along with em.
