Growing up what was your favorite radio station?

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

Mine was WHTH out of Newark, Ohio.
They had a request show and always gave prices away to callers.
The best part it seemed they would play any rock song you requested.

Daytime radio back in the 50's and 60's was WKEE AM radio 80 out of Huntington and WIOI out of New Boston.

Nighttime radio back in the day was whatever 50,000 watt boomer your car could pick up while cruising. WLS and WCFL from Chicago, WABC New York, and WOWO out of Ft. Wayne.

FM radio for cars was not really a thing until the early 70's.
