Yes, I knew they served free meals to everyone.

I believe they applied for some kind of grant to do that.

First, if there's a child out there who's parents can't afford it, I'm tickled to death they get a free school lunch but...

Why should the state pay for the lunches of parent's who can afford it? How can that be Instructor? How can one school's parents who can afford it be forced to pay for their child's when another's who can afford it all also gets their lunches for free?

It wasn't from a private donation, was it? you did say a grant.

I had heard it was Duke Energy that does this.

My mom works at Rock Hill and the free lunch is paid for by a grant.
Duke Energy helped pay off the schools but not the lunch.

Well, if Duke is paying for it, that's different but it looks like they might not be

Duke Energy IS NOTpaying for the free lunches. It is being paid for by a grant the school district applied for. Like I said before, Duke Energy helped pay off the schools but not the free lunches.

I believe it is called a Federal Reduced Lunch Plan....There is a huge amount of paper work....When only a few do not qualify the Federal Government pays for all Student....To keep the paper work down....

Ironton is around 80% qualified receiving the Federal Reduced Lunch Plan....And, when Ironton gets a little higher percentage....Ironton will be like Rock Hill....

And, That's how it works....
