You have to shop around a little. It seems only a select number of gas stations are going that high. Prices in Piketon range from $2.84-$3.29.

Gas went down 15 cents on the gallon on the spot market Friday.

If you're heading south through North Carolina don't stop here to get gas, it is now ranked in the top 3 highest priced for gas in the country and they are expecting it to go higher. It's over $3.00 across the state.

2.73 in Ashland. Went down to 1.84 a gallon on the spot market today. Sure does take it a long time to reach the pump when it goes down.

That may be the case but it seems it isn't a problem when the price goes up. Let the wholesale price go up and the retail follows very quickly.

I paid 2.71 last night in Ashland. Wholesale price down to 1.81.
