They probably did. My son who lives in Cincinnati, called last night and said that the area he lived in was the only one that had electric. He said that there was about 600,000 without electric, and that it could take about 3 days to get it turned back on. He said that the gas staion that was by his house was the onlyone with gas in the area! Said he had to park across the street to walk over to the gas staion, to get some pop!! They had winds up to 70-75 miles per hour.....crazy!

Logan had high winds with some trees down and a lot of limbs.
The Time/Warner was off for a while

my kid had fastpitch practice in lancaster yesterday, the wind around 4 pm was brutal---there were debris from the corn fields flying everywhere. Don't know how much damage actually occured. MD

We drove home from YSU in it yesterday. Mr. Mum had to fight to keep the car on the road, people pulled off everywhere, we dodged debris. Power out so no traffic lights, it was a mess....hope she is ok up there!

Lancaster did get hit very hard from what they were saying on the news last night.

Over half a million homes in Ohio are/is without electricity after the winds yesterday. Thats just the AEP report. There would be a lot moreif they add the co-op companies.

A good number of cell phone towers have been knocked out and calls cannot be made.

My daughter lives 8 miles from me and has been out since yesterday. They are saying it could take 7-10 days to get her electric restored. The power companies are working in the area where the majority of the outages are first, before going to the smaller outages.

The good thing is that they were ordered back to Ohio late Sunday afternoon. Our local crews drove all night and were back in town this morning. Some were sent home to sleep and others remained out to work and will switch off and on with each other.

Lancaster got hit hard. Yesterday most of the town was without power. I live about 5 miles out of town and was without power for 24 hours.
