Avalanche destroys all comers and has the championships to prove it. You don't win best Pizza in North America at the World Pizza Championships in Italy without being great.

They're great but I don't think they are the best in Athens. The pizza market is huge here.

Perry's Pizza Barn for a local joint or Papa Johns for a chain.

For sheer bang for the buck, CiCi's pizza. $3.99 all-you-can-eat pizza buffet.

I like good ole Giovanni's in the big "I" but, your right CiCi's is a good bang for your buck and it's pretty good to especially all you can eat :) :)

Percelli's was pretty much the same recipe as Giovanni's. I don't know if it is still there or not.

Giovanni's is the best.

Spencer's in Lucasville has been good except for the pizza that I got last night.

McDermott Pizza is good too (but I haven't eaten one from there for a while).

I know, I used to be a student at OU.

My personal favorite stop at OU was the Burrito Buggy.

Avalanche was not there when I was a student, I liked that little street bugy that parked right beside the Burrito Buggy and sold huge slices of pizza.

Yeah the burrito and pizza buggies were both awesome!

Did you know there is a Avalanche in Lancaster now? shorter drive for you than athens.
