IHOP
Anyone been to the new IHOP? What's the word on the place? Worth the trip? How about the pricing?

Just another IHOP......same as the one at the Huntington Mall.....slow service and cold food.......pricing is the same.......
Re: IHOP
First - why is this topic in here twice?
Second - they're the ONLY place open on Christmas Day [owners are Jewish?] which was the only reason we stopped there to eat on our way from Cincinnati to Toledo one Christmas Day long ago. Their food is 100% carb-laden and fattening - limited choices - poor service - not kid friendly! NIX

Re: IHOP
The only new one I know about is in Ashland, KY (although I think it's actually in Russell). But anyway, I was there about a week ago.WhiteWhiskers wrote:Anyone been to the new IHOP? What's the word on the place? Worth the trip? How about the pricing?
The good:
Service (except as noted below)
Food (I had the breakfast sampler)
Distance from where I live
10% senior discount (ask for it)
The bad:
Prices (a little too high - e.g. $2.09 for iced tea; breakfast for 2 = $20)
No refills offered on iced tea
Conclusion:
Would I go there again? Yes, once in a while.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes, with a few cautions.
Also, as a side note, IHOP has indeed appeared on more than one list of worst restaurant foods in the country (i.e. nutritionally). Do an internet search on "IHOP worst food" and you can check it out.

"a few cautions" Have you lost your mind man?! that's too funny.
Anyway, when I went to get my beloved Jebby The Super Doggy's dog food last week, I had to park a ways off because of Ihops. People are flocking around that place like they've never seen an egg before...(or an oven in their home either
