Japanese Restaurant
The new Japanese Restaurant in Portsmouth. Anyone been there and is it any good?
Re: Japanese Restaurant
I know a few that have been and liked it. But, when it comes to food or any other restaurant, for every person you find that loves it, you'll find one that hates it.

If the food is good at the location, then it should be well worth the trip.
Japanesse Hibatchi cooking is a show and a good time.

I saw a funny photo of the Bert's Tropical Fish van pulled up right in front of Yamato's. I just hope they have a fish tank.

Re: Japanese Restaurant
I have eaten lunch there twice. The food is not prepared in your face, like other similar places. You can see it being made, but you sit at a table/booth like you would any other restaurant.
Both times I got the Chicken&Shrimp Hibachi lunch special. Costs $8 and comes with mixed veggies and fried rice. Also, I get a bowl (or two) of clear soup for $1.50. This is the same style of soup other places serve. Chicken broth based with mushrooms and the little green things
Not the best hibachi food I have had, but for $10 it is worth it.

Evidently you haven't been to Japan...........when they deplete the carp and gar supply they start looking for "Felix the Cat"........rockyraccoon wrote:That's Chinese food, Japanese use Carp and Gar.TigerTownTurkey wrote:In the near future there will be a shortage of cats and small dogs running loose in Portsmouth........

I think you can pass cat off as chicken, but I would be able to tell sushi from kitty, though they do have a similar smell.TigerTownTurkey wrote:Evidently you haven't been to Japan...........when they deplete the carp and gar supply they start looking for "Felix the Cat"........rockyraccoon wrote:That's Chinese food, Japanese use Carp and Gar.TigerTownTurkey wrote:In the near future there will be a shortage of cats and small dogs running loose in Portsmouth........
