SOC II Boys and Girls Basketball

Post by sportsfan9572 »

It's getting closer to that time. What's everyone think about the teams this year? West seems to have been working hard. Transfers????? Come one, lets go ahead and get this started.

The Minford 8th grade girls have been working hard this summer also, they still have their core group of players, and they were undefeated and won the conference last year....As always the champion is the team to beat....but they are working hard to keep it that way..Go Falcons and good luck to all the other SOC Teams..I think Oak Hill migt have the two guards back togther to go along with Kayla Swann, she wont have to play up and that will help, plus with both guards together they are tough and play really well and can shoot...could be a battle for the 1st between three teams this year at the 8th grade level, so every game will count..

Only heard about the Stanley girl from the 7th grade team, she was playing real well on her AAU team, but I am sure that the rest of the girls were working just hard, good luck to them also...

I agree.........the boys still at Minford can handle the job and I think will have a good year. Same thing happened with the class above them and while they may have lost some games, they did a heck of a lot better than people expected them too.

I think Coach Gambill will be just as committed.

Coach Gambill did coach with justice and he will be just as committed, doesn't like to lose and very competitive and will do a great job with the kids, look out for the Fultz kid, he didn't get off the bench last year, but should have, good shooter and worked on his defense and some more moves this summer...with gambill he will see the floor for sure...

Gambill did coach last year and will do a great job with the falcons this year. These boys respond very well to Coach Gambill. They will be a very aggressive team. Have a great and successful 2009-2010 year!!!
