Valenth's Thoughts from Week 9...

Post by Valenth »

Another week in the books. Heres the takeaway..

1. Next week will be a Huge Matchup for the SEC East...

Georgia took care of Florida and Tennessee absolutely destroyed Kentucky. This WILL be the game to Watch Next Week!

2. The B1G East looks to come down to THE GAME. While the West is Illinois' to lose.

Ohio State took care of Penn State after a slow start. And Michigan downed Michigan State... but not in convincing fashion... Both teams showed some weakness.. Let's see who gets it turned around next week. And Illinois just keeps winning. If it wasn't for the early season loss to Indiana... Illinois would mo doubt be in the top 10.

3. The BIG XII is TCUs to lose....

First off WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO OKLAHOMA STATE?! They got a Mudhole stomped in them at the Hands of Kansas State. But after TCU got by WVU who actually put up a good fight.... sets the Horned Frogs up for a Huge Battle against the Longhorns.

4. ACC has a huge Gap.... Clemson.... then whoever else.

Notre Dame downing Syracuse and Louisville Throttling Wake Forest. There's no other good teams in the ACC outside of Clemson. PERIOD.

5. SEC West ...

Nothing huge here.. The usual suspects winning.. Alabama had a Bye... so not a lot to talk about here.

6. PAC12 is still up in the air....

These teams beat each other up in the Previous weeks... but the teams in Contention like Utah, USC, UCLA and Oregon took care of their respective opponents.

CFP Rankings come out Tuesday! Here's where I think the Committee will go. I think the Top 4 will follow the AP polls... then 5,6 and 7 also following suit. Then a Wall of PAC12 opponents for 8,9 and 10 after Oklahoma State and Wake Forest Losses.

Top 10.

1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Tennessee
4. Michigan
5. Clemson
6. Alabama
7. TCU
8. Oregon
9. USC
10. UCLA

However there will no doubt be some good Movement after next week. Cause Tennessee and Georgia will settle who is the best In the SEC East.

Thoughts?

After week 9, my opinion is that Georgia and Tennessee are the two best teams at this point in time. Ohio State and Michigan are interchangeable at 3 and 4. I would not be surprised if the Buckeyes drop to 4 in this afternoon's polls.

Yet after watching a replay of OSU, the Buckeye's 28-3 run in the fourth quarter was impressive. We still do not know how good State can be, especially if they can remember how to run the football. All the while though, Michigan's stock is rising.

As to the rest, college football is a mess. 8th through 25th in the new polls could be chosen with a random draw.
