I dont have a problem with Georgia jumping OSU. I do have a problem with Alabama being #1.

Georgia demolished an overrated Oregon team, but Oregon was still ranked #11 nonetheless.

OSU took care of business against a top 5 opponent.

Bama played Utah State. Give me a break.

Georgia and OSU had the stones to schedule top teams to open their season with and should be rewarded for it. Bama shouldnt be rewarded for playing Utah St.

You are correct Red. You could also make a case polling should not occur until the first week in October.

I totally agree, however there is too much money to be made with the preseason and early season rankings. When do the Playoff polls start? Week 4?

Luckily these coaches and AP polls really dont matter.....but I do think they have influence when the committee releases their polls eventually. And we all know that seeding in the top 4 can be crucial when it comes to playoff success and who teams get matched up with in the first round.

I agree with both of you. It is WAYYYY too early to nitpick as some like me say. Perhaps Top 3 should be UGa, Ohio, Bama....

That team from Gainesville is ranked a little high....imho. Yep, they have a good qb but it was Utah...they always seem to start the season slow and finish strong. Can I get a little love for FSU. That D was flying around the ball carrier. A blocked fg....two recovered punt fumbles and a blocked xp to beat LSU 24-23. A little early to say this but, that blocked xp could be the spark to great season.

Let the games continue........

And YES....them DOGS from GEORGIA are THAT GOOD!!!

I am afraid Georgia is that good. An acquaintance of an in law is a semi retired college ref in the SoCon and ACC. He got to work a Georgia scrimmage during their preseason camp. He said he has never seen such a collection of athletes in terms of depth, speed, quickness, and strength. Still, going undefeated and winning a championship is a tall task. Anybody is beatable on a bad day
