UMass Minutemen 94 Northeastern Huskies 79

A little afternoon basketball and it was never really a close one. UMASS (1-0) had almost zero problems beating a short-handed Northeastern (0-1), squad. Tre Mitchell (Pittsburgh, PA) exploded for 31 points and 11 boards for the winners. Freshman Javohn Garcia (Pickerington, Ohio) got off to a tremendous start scoring 23 points to go along with 4 assists. Tyson Walker (Westbury, NY) led the Huskies with 29 points and 5 steals.
