Valenth's Week 7 Thoughts

Post by Valenth »

Lets take a look and see what is in store for Week 7... These predictions are as of Monday ... however we all know things are extremely FLUID due to circumstances with COVID. Not a TON of high level matchups this week....

A couple Matchups for Week 7....

#1. Georgia @ Alabama - 8pm on CBS

This matchup by far is the best matchup of the week... it will be interesting to see how each team started off slow... then eventually took care of their respected opponents. I got the Crimson tide by 10...

#2. Marshall @ Louisiana Tech - 6:30pm on CBS Sports Network.

The Thundering Herd is looking great after handling the Hilltoppers on Saturday... I honestly do not know all that much about Louisiana Tech.. But ill take the Herd by 2 TDs.

#3. Pittsburgh @ Miami - NOON on ACC Network

After both teams lost to their respective opponents last week.. The Big Question... will Miami come back with a Lashing? or will Pitt pull off the upset? I think Miami takes care of Pitt by 17.

Other Predictions:

BYU downs Houston
Cincinnati slams Tulsa
Notre Dame handles Louisville
Florida throttles LSU
Auburn edges South Carolina
WVU beats Kansas
Tennessee takes care of Kentucky
Ole Miss bashes Arkansas
Texas A&M downs Mississippi State
Clemson destroys Georgia Tech

Thoughts? 8-)

Good assessment Valenth.

Ole Miss kept Bama at bay because their best defense was their offense. Lane Kiffin kept Bama's defense on their toes and guessing all game. Bama's defense was far from impressive but looking at Georgia, they dont look impressive on the offensive side of the ball. Georgia's good D vs Bama's good O. I think this game is a coin flip.

I think Clemson is the team to beat as far of teams that have played so far in 2020. I expect OSU to quickly be at the top when its all over.

What about the B12? They look like crap. Iowa St might end up winning that league and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Oklahoma lose. Alex Grinch and his defense sabotage yet another program!

UGA and Bama indeed appears to be the game of the week and at least down south the talking heads seem to be shifting to Georgia as a favorite to at least beat the 6.5 point spread in Bama's favor. They cite the Bulldog defense.

Speaking of Bama, apparently Coach Nick Saban tests positive for covid.
