Did LSU peak too soon? Did Clemson leave too much on the field in getting by Ohio State? Hoping Joe Burrow can cap off his magical season with a national championship.

Stopped by my in-laws in Albany after x-mas and went the back way thru The Plains and saw the signs, flags, etc. around town. It's pretty neat. I watched Joey play a few games from 9th grade on in high school and thought he would be special somewhere. I really didn't think he would get a chance at OSU (much like a lot of other SEO kids over the years). I'm very happy for him that he got the oppurtunity elsewhere and is making the best of it. It should be a very good game

It’s pretty cool all of SEO has claimed him. It’s almost too perfect that a kid from the area that gets no respect in Ohio would become the nations best player at another school

My thoughts:

OSU picked Clemson apart throwing the ball and had JK not injured is ankle and missed a quarter in the game, would have ran for well over 200 yds.

Clemson had a hard time in a traditional run game vs OSU and had trouble consistently throwing the ball on OSU.

I think LSU will throw the ball all over Clemson's D. While LSU's run game is far less superior than OSU's running game, they probably wont need it.

Clemson got really banged up vs OSU and even though they have 15 days to get healed up, it shows they do not like playing against a really physical team. LSU's O line will win the LOS vs Clemson's defense which will be the key.

I think LSU wins this one by 10+

LSU BY 16. Pulling hard for them, but it will probably be a rough ride. I think Burrow is the difference maker with his precision. GO LSU!!! Hope both teams stay healthy. It would be awful for the flu bug to hit some players. It's going around bad.

LSU defense seems to be clicking at the right time, Burrow is an absolute stud, plus the game is in New Orleans. I'll take LSU by 10

OSU physically mauled Clemson the first 20mins of the semi final game....NO WAY could Clemson had withstood 60mins of it...…..and it showed....the personal foul called against OSU early in the semi final the game changed it and it was never the same from that point on......

That would be great for the viewing audience (I've personally alienated myself from the pro game the last ten years or so for various reasons but still love high school and college sports).

I agree. I hope LSU wins because of Burrow, otherwise it doesn't really matter to me.
