After a successful run of seasons for the ladies, and a continued run of success for the men, OSU's women's tennis team will be in a down year, at least from the looks of it, especially with the preseason looks of a strong Big Ten. The Buckeyes will begin the season unranked, and will begin the season in Atlanta, Georgia at the ITA Kickoff where they will face host Georgia Tech, then depending on results of their match and the other match, will face either Auburn or Kentucky.

The Buckeyes picked up another key non-conference victory on Sunday afternoon in Columbus, as they defeated a solid Baylor team, 5-2. Baylor's two wins came at #1 single and #4 singles. The loss for the Buckeyes at #1 single was quite surprising, but not detrimental to the final score of the match.
