The Buckeyes (14-6, 6-4 Big Ten) started hot as fire only to watch Penn State (9-11, 0-9 Big Ten) cut an 18 point lead down to one before pulling away for the 6 point win. The Buckeyes hit 56% of their shots, while Penn State hit 50%. John Mobley Jr. (Reynoldsburg) led the Buckeyes with 25 points. He hit 7–14 shots, including 5-11 three's.
