I wouldn't say absolutely horrible! Scheduling at Georgia Tech was a good move. Scheduling Marshall, good move. Scheduling Iona was a good move, one of the top teams if not the top one in the MAAC. Some of these other teams on the schedule are down this year. But, I don't like scheduling Urbana. Although, tons of the mid-major and smaller D1 teams are scheduling one if not two D2 teams.

Ohio (8-3) defeated D2 Urbana University tonight in Athens, 77-50. Leading the Bobcats was Kenny Kaminski with 18 points. It seems like many of the D1 teams are playing at least one D2 team these days, and I'm definitely not really a fan of it.

OU opens up MAC play on Tuesday when they host Western Michigan.

Ohio (9-3) absolutely dominated Western Michigan (4-9), 89-58 to open up MAC play tonight in Athens. Antonio Campbell led the Bobcats in the winning effort with a 22 point, 12 rebound double-double. Tucker Haymond and Thomas Wilder both tied for the lead for WMU with 9 points a piece.

The Bobcats next game is Friday when they host Kent State.

They really are a very good team! If you combine experience and talent, there is no way they don't win the MAC! But, as seen by a couple games this season, they don't always play up to the potential.

The Bobcats (11-3) got a big road win tonight at Buffalo (7-9). After trailing in this game by a massive deficit they were able to slowly close the gap in the second half. Kenny Kaminski nailed a deuce with 0.9 seconds remaining in the game to give the Bobcats the permanent, 74-72 victory. Jaaron Simmons led the Bobcats with 14 points and for the Bulls, Blake Hamilton led the way with 17.

The Bobcats next game is on Saturday when they host Eastern Michigan.

Ohio U. (11-4) just couldn't get it going offensively this afternoon against Eastern Michigan (11-7), losing 53-49. Their previous low point total for the season for the Bobcats was 66! And this is the first time EMU has won in Athens since the 2002-03 season. Ty Loney led the Eagles with 17 points and freshman Jason Carter led the Bobcats with 14 points and 11 rebounds. It is also noteworthy that the Bobcats played this game with their best player, Antonio Campbell, except for the first 3 minutes of the game.

They next play at Akron on Tuesday.

Tonight's faceoff, between what many think are the two best teams in the MAC, Ohio (11-5) just didn't seem in it from the beginning of the game, losing to Akron (15-3), 83-68. The Bobcats played for the second straight game without their star, Antonio Campbell, which had a major impact on this game. Jaaron Simmons led the Bobcats with 19 points. Leading the Zips was Kwan Cheathem with 17 points.

There's not much news on when Campbell will return to the floor from injury, but the Bobcats hope it is soon! Their next game is at Northern Illinois on Saturday.

Ohio (12-5) got a crucial road win over MAC rival Northern Illinois (12-7) tonight, 78-69 to end their 2 game skid. Jaaron Simmons led the Bobcats with 23 points and freshman Jason Carter threw in a double-double with 15 points-12 rebounds. Leading the Huskies was Marin Maric with a 16 point-11 rebound double-double.

The Bobcats have another big game on Tuesday night when they host Toledo.

Ohio (12-6) needed to get a win last night but ultimately couldn't pull it out losing to Toledo (11-9), 79-76. Steve Taylor Jr. led the Rockets with a massive 25 point-15 rebound double-double in the victory. While the Bobcats were led by Jason Carter with 20 points and a 17 point-10 assist double-double from Jaaron Simmons. One bright spot this season for the Bobcats is that freshman Carter, has posted a double-double or near double-double in the absence of Antonio Campbell.

The Bobcats have another big MAC game on Saturday afternoon at Bowling Green.
