Grambling (1-0) vs Ohio State (1-0)

A total mismatch but an opportunity for Grambling to earn a check and a chance for Ohio State to rev up their offense and develop some depth.

The only suspense will Grambling bring their band?

Ohio U (1-1) at Ohio State (2-0)

Bucks favored by 34 but Ohio U is decent coming off 17-10 win over WVU.

Kick is 7:00 pm with TV on Peacock streaming .

Ohio State 37 Ohio U 9

Kudos to the Bobcats for making it a game for 3 quarters and the Buckeyes after the CFP run and first two games this season finally had a game where they seemed less than focused.

State out gained OU 572 to 171 total yards but two turnovers, some penalties and suffering a fourth down stop kept the game from getting totally out of hand.

The Buckeyes have a bye week to prep for their Big 10 opener at Washington on the 27th. The Huskiies will not be an easy out for Ohio State.

#1 Ohio State (3-0) at Washington (3-0)

The Buckeyes make the long journey to the West Coast to face the Huskys.

Challenges for TOSU will be containing UW's dual threat QB Desmond Williams and keeping their own QB Julian Sayin composed in front of what will be a loud and rowdy crowd in Seattle.

State fans will also be curious to see if the Bucks can improve their consistency in the running game and inside the red zone.

Kick off will be 3:30 on 9/27. CBS will televise the game.

Ohio State 24 Washington 6 Final.

The Buckeye defense carried the day and offense answered the call when required..

The OSU D kept UW QB Williams bottled up and made enough plays to keep the Huskys from crossing the goal line.

The OSU offense was conservative with the running game and ball control short passes to dominate the second half.

Only discouraging things about the Bucks were penalties, kick return turnover, and one failed 4th down attempt in the Red Zone.

Sayin was 22 of 28 for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bo Jackson emerged as RB 1 with 17 carries for 18 yards.

Next game up for State is Minnesota, who defeated Rutgers today 31-28.

Defense is really good but the DBS have terrible technique. Somebody needs to tell them (esp. Igbinosun) to quit being so handsy on the receivers and turn their heads back. Get that cleaned up before it costs them in a close game. They been lucky there hasn't been more called.

Igninosun is really the only one. And for sure the worst. They should take 100mph tape before each game and tape baseballs in his hands so his ability to grab anything is gone lol. I look for him to make a couple more costly errors and go to the bench when Styles returns
