Wow, not a good day for the offense to lay an egg. Line just got dominated, no rushing game, Will Howard couldn't carry them. I was worried about this game leading up. Like zahn said ttun still has a physical defense and you can't take them lightly. It cost the Bucks dearly. I never thought the Bucks would blow them out and the 19.5 line was an easy bet on the points but never saw them only scoring 10 points. Kicker missed two field goals that would have won the game. Unacceptable! I know it sounds crazy, but Day can still keep his job thanks to the expanded playoffs. I would be shocked they will make a change before their playoff run. In my estimation they have to at least advance to the championship game to do it and not get blown out in the process. We will see, not going to be easy. If I was betting it would be a safe bet they will have a new coach roaming the sidelines next year, but it might make things worse. Even with losing 4 in a row to their bitter rivals Day has won some big games including blowing out ttun his first year and recruits well having highly ranked classes every year. They let coop go ten years of losing to ttun and bowl games before making a change. One thing not in Days favor is the athletic director is not the guy who hired him. The seat would be a little cooler if Gene Smith was still there.

Well Ryan Day got what I guess you would call a vote of confidence from AD Bjork today. Might be the proverbial kiss of death for Day, but with OSU pretty much a lock for the playoffs, removing the coach now would not be productive, until they are eliminated.

I agree, not going to do any good to remove him now. Oh and the University has 37 million reasons to keep him around. That's how much it will cost to buyout his contract. Play the season out and go from there. I'm sure he knows he's got one last shot with this playoff run.

Vrabel hates recruiting. Lanning won't leave Oregon unless Georgia or Alabama comes knocking. Cignetti just signed a massive extension. Urban just said a few days ago that he's done coaching and that he's happy as an analyst.

Also for the guy who said Deion Sanders, LOL. Deion is probably gonna go play daddy ball with Shedeur in Vegas next year.

Just wishful thinking but rumors are Lanning already turned Alabama down, contracts get bought out ALL the time, and God knows Urban has never said that before. LOL.

Marcus Freeman
Brian Hartline
Mike Vrable
Eddie George

That should be the list if Day were to get fired. Get someone in there who’s been a Buckeye, know what’s it’s like to play there, coach there, played in The Game.

Just kind of amusing given the way the Ohio State football season has unfolded: has Tennessee hijacked Ohio State's home field advantage?

Ohio State's Caleb Downs and Seth McLaughlin named first team Walter Camp All Americans

Both players developed at Alabama

Color me surprised. I did not think Ryan Day and the Buckeyes had the emotional toughness to rebound from the Michigan loss.

Will Howard really showed up and played like a champion, the line was awesome considering the injuries against a tough front 4, defense solid as usual. Now can they redeem themselves in the grandaddy of them all? I have to revise my prediction, I thought Day would have to make it to the championship to save his job but with the new AD coming out and saying he was confident Day would be back next year and this resounding win over a top SEC team, I think even with a close loss to the Ducks he is safe for another year.

He is a Michigan Man, so don't encourage him.

Now for an actual football question, can State continue to play at the same level of intensity against Texas as they did against Tennessee and Oregon?

Lol inches! Kind of nice to see him back to stir things up a little. This game worries me because everybody is picking TOSU to win. So many times the underdog will win these games. I bet Texas relishes being in this position. Kelly and Day decided in the preseason to not go no huddling fast pace of play to keep the players fresh for this big run at the end. ESPN gave a stat that Texas's defense has played something like 40 or 50 more plays compared to OSU's offense this year. We will see if the strategy pays off.
