My point exactly. As long as Florida plays Florida State, our schedule is not a fun one. This year was ridiculous and we didnt even play Alabama.

I like when OSU played serious non-conference opponents. It's not their fault that Cal fell off the map, though.

By comparison, Alabama: 5. Georgia: 4.
OSU 7 (if you count PSU)
I don't think that is the best number to use when comparing schedules. Alabama and Georgia did, however, play the weakest schedules of all SEC teams. Georgia found a way to avoid Bama, LSU, and A&M. Mark Richt must be paying Slive lots of money.

Tennessee isn't bowl eligible, but would they be if they played in the B1G? Probably. That's the main reason I don't like the stat. You can find any stat to attempt to justify your argument, and this is what Notre Dame has done.

Agree 100%. When you schedule teams far in advance there is no guarantee what u may get. Kinda like Miami U also. Not the caliber team as when that meeting was scheduled. Kinda of like the meeting OSU has scheduled with Oregon and Texas for 8 years down the road. No one knows what those teams will be like then. I'd be willing to bet chip Kelley is long since bounced to the nfl and who knows what Oregon will be like and the style the will offer.

Every team plays a few cupcakes and usually 1 decent game.

Based off this year's scheduling, I'd much rather see Florida at #2 over Bama.
They haven't looked great at times, but have played by far a much tougher schedule, with the same record result!

If "if and buts were candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas."

Realistically, no squad in the Big Ten is top 15 caliber for 2012.
Savor the undefeated Buckeye season and look forward to better
things ahead.

Yet Notre Dame had close contests against Purdue and Michigan just as OSU did.

Note your other thread.

The Domers should have lost to Pitt. They'll get their come-upance against the SEC in the BCS title game. Still, congrats to the Irish. And tOSU Buckeyes are the only D-I team undefeated after it is all settled. No trophy-no problem!

I would tend to agree with you, but I wear orange and blue glasses.

This has been one of my favorite years ever as a Gator fan. I love the toughness Will Muschamp has brought to our program.

How is OSU AP National Champs while currently being ranked #4 in the AP Poll? One of those 3 teams above them will stay #1.

They will be after Notre Dame loses to either Alabama or Georgia since they will be the only undefeated team remaining.

How will you jump a team already ahead of you? Answer: You won't.

12-0.

I'm not debating you went 12-0, simply going undefeated doesn't mean you'll win the AP National Championship. If you were sitting at #2, you'd have an argument. You're wrong, sorry.

Am I really falling into this trap of stupidity? Why I know you aren't being serious, it is frustrating to have a conversation with someone unable to grasp reality. Oh SEOP you get me every time.
