I have to agree with MD on this one..........I am an OSU grad, but reality is reality.....We are a legit Top five school, but not number one........That is why it will be nice to get the playoff going........... :12224

Of the 5 SEC teams not named Alabama in the BCS top 12,
Bama hasn't played 3, and is 1-1 against the other two.

Bama's opponents win % this year is below .500

They are a good team, but this year, there are no great teams in CFB.

Do I think OSU deserves the AP title, No!

But it's not out of the realm of discussion, and they could win games against any team out there this year.
They wouldn't win every time, but they would win sometimes against anyone.
Depends on if the ball bounced the right way on the night they needed it to.

And that is because the media, especially ESPN, blows the SEC like Linda Lovelace did her costar in her hey day.

Southern Cal and either Alabama or Georgia have something to say about that.

It is the conference that OSU resides in.

They can't make the other teams better within the B1G...only themselves.

They played 12 FBS schools and won each game. Notre Dame will also play 12 FBS schools after they play USC tonight.
AMEN BROTHER, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SEC. WE BEAT ALL 12 FBS TEAMS ON OUR SCHEDULE, AND WE DIDN'T PLAY A CUPCAKE BETWEEN NEBRASKA AND MICHIGAN EITHER.WE ARE UNDEFEATED WITH NO WAY TO PROVE IT ON THE FIELD, OTHER THAN WHAT WE DID, WE BEAT EVERYBODY ON OUR SCHEDULE, IN ONE OF THE TOUGHEST CONFERENCES IN AMERICA.

NUFF SAID.

When people mention how the SEC plays cupcakes at the end, that's stupid. The SEC plays just as many non-conference games as the Big Ten. Just because they are played a different time means nothing. In fact, I would say it makes the SEC schedules tougher in some regards.

A cupcake is a cupcake no matter when u play them. People rag OSU or whoever for scheduling them but all big teams do it with the occasional good non conference game here and there

Notre Dame finished season beating 9 bowl-eligible teams.
By comparison, Alabama: 5. Georgia: 4.
OSU 7 (if you count PSU)
