The dust has settled and a LOT to talk about from this week....
#1. The SEC took one on the Chin with the Fall of Alabama..
Texas A&M exploited Alabama last night and now the two remaining undefeated teams in the SEC are Georgia and Kentucky... However this will change Next week..
Seeing that Alabama fell to a 2 loss team... let's see if they drop Alabama as far as they did with Ohio State when they lost to Oregon (Who was a Ranked Team) If they keep Alabama in the top 5... theres obviously some bias in there. I would put them in the 9 to 11 rank.
#2. The B1G the Best conference in College Football? Its Likely!
After Iowa got by Penn State.. Michigan Eeked by Nebraska, Michigan State took care of Rutgers and Ohio State throttled Maryland... likely in this next poll we will see 4 maybe even 5 B1G teams in the top 10.
#3. The ACC and PAC12 continuing their streaks of being awful.
Not much to say here... they just kep beating each other up. Its pretty sad. Which leads to my next thought...
#4. Cincinnati continues their argument to be in the College Football Playoff
They absolutely destroyed Temple.. and Notre Dame continues to win... they keep their argument strong to be in the Playoff. Plus with the ACC and PAC12 looking Awful. It only helps the Bearcats!
#5. The BIG XIIs chances of a Playoff candidate.. Still hangs on Oklahoma's Shoulders..
Oklahoma just keeps finding ways to win.. they come back and defeat Texas in a Barnburner version of the Red River Rivalry..
#6. I was never sold on BYU... and this week proved my case.
I never really put them in my thoughts on my post... and Boise State proved my point. BYU took it on the chin and their aplayoff hopes are dashed.
Thoughts? Let me know!
Valenth's Thoughts from Week 6....
Re: Valenth's Thoughts from Week 6....
It was a great college football viewing Saturday. Chaos is fun!
The SEC is Georgia, but do not rule out Bama yet. The SEC still has a chance for 2 playoff teams if Saban wins out and beats an undefeated Georgia in their CCG.
Two SEC teams in the CFP would hurt Cincinnati's chances of being selected even if the Bearcats win out.
Oklahoma survived another scare but may have found the QB they need in Caleb Williams. He seems to have the leadership the Sooner need to win out for the playoffs.
Big Ten is still Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Penn State if Sean Clifford is healthy.
Long story short, halfway through the season, you have 9 teams with a path to the playoffs.

Let me just say this about Alabama...
They are somewhat banged up on their D front 7. The Aggies did an excellent job mixing up pass coverage and line stunts. They kept pressure on Young the entire game.
The last time Bama lost to A&M....they held up the crystal football in the end.
I'll eat the crow....I was talking up BYU last week. Boise St. took care of that
The OTSBDI is looking at Georgia...Cincinnati...the B1G champ and.....Alabama as the final 4 at this time. Kentucky is 6-0 and travel to Athens for a showdown with Georgia. We'll see what happens between the hedges
Get your popcorn ready....the last two Saturdays of October cometh

Lookout for Mich State...Coach Tucker has them playing D reminiscent of D'Antonio.OHHS old timer wrote: Mon Oct 11, 2021 7:21 am Let me just say this about Alabama...

Georgia is going to win the SEC east but think they are loosing to Florida in two weeks. I think Michigan state is going to lose 3 games down the stretch and look for Nebraska to upset Iowa later on. I think Georgia is playing the best football in country right now. I think we end season with two undefeated teams but only one makes the playoff.
