I almost decided not to watch this one but have to say I am so glad I did. Both of these teams left everything on the court. X led most of this one but could never put away the Colonels. Tied at 72 late X. would go up by five just to see Eastern Kentucky lock things back up. X. would lead by three with 3.4 seconds left but A deep three by Tre King would hit nothing but net to force overtime.
In overtime, X. (3-0) has another three-point lead, and the Colonels again had the ball but this time there was not enough time left to get anything more than a three-quarter shot off, that did not come close to going in. Leading the winners with a double-double was Zach Freemantle (Teaneck, NJ) with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Jason Carter (Johnstown, Ohio) added his own double-double 20 points and 11 rebounds. For Eastern Kentucky, (2-1) King (Lexington, KY) led the way with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Cooper Robb (Georgetown, KY) had 19 points.
