Anyone else watching this game? Looks like Coach Solich better stop barking at the officials and coach the team.

i was worried about this, troy are known as giant killers. they have so much athleticism. they play sec teams each year, and rarely have home games. as far as frank barking at the officials, they should have been penalties for substitution infractions. but at some point you gotta just coach. they were just getting whipped in every facet of the game. but i rooted for the bobcats every play. great season they had.

Good news, Frank didn't have to go far to find a great selection of watering holes after the game!

How can you say they had a "great season..." when they didnt even win their division of the MAC? They, like a lot of other teams shouldnt even have been in a bowl game. And ditto seofan about Frank and the watering holes The only thing is the ole Drunk Coach should be left in THE BIG EASY and OU should try to hire Bill Stewart from WVa.

Ohio U needs coaching that is young and looking to get to the next level, not old washed up guys who are trying to get back on their feet after getting fired from a bigger school.

You have to think upward, grabbing a hot young coordinator or 1aa guy will serve them much better.

I agree with that dubs. OU needs an aggressive young coach trying to get to the next level.

You know when a team gains 602 offensive yards on you, you are in for a long night.

Not a whole lot of GOOD upward thinking, young coaches want to come to OU. A school that can't even win their division of their league or one bowl out of four. Just face it Athens is not a hot bed of coaches as Oxford is. And if/when ones does he will only stay until something better opens up.

There is no reason Athens can't be Oxford.
There is also nothing wrong with being a stepping stone program.
It fits much better.

I guess ole O & B is just as dillusional with this pick as he is with some of the N-Y football games. It's good to root for the home team but any rational fan knew that Troy has too many DI "athletes" to lose to any MAC school. A lot of their kids are big school athletically but not academically if you know what I mean. Anyway, there are too many bowl games and a lot of them are going to turn out like this one did but it's all about the money.

There is nothing around Athens; cutural, entertainment, restaurants, malls-nothing that improves the quality of life. Only thing Athens has is fishing lakes and some pot fields

NIU from the Mac spanked Fresno State coached by the great Pat Hill. I would take NIU over the Big East champ.

I've lived in both places.

Athens has it hands down. If you're smart enough you can find the intellectual culture.

Or you can live in Cincy and find drive by shootings....over population.....pollution......etc. etc.

It's your choice.

Doc, I think you are missing the point, you are neither from the inner-city, nor are you an African American. Not much in Southeastern Ohio appeals to a young kid from the inner city.

No...I get it...Akron's starting CB committed to us then decommitted after he visited Athens.....guess he flunked Geography and first thought Athens was the inner-city. He simply chose a different culture....I was thinking more of an intellectual one.
