Too much hype this year and the game has lost It's luster over the years to other's around the USA outside of Ohio and Michigan. It'll be another dud one way or the other. This ain't Woody and Bo's days but all the history and hype on ESPN, etc. still reflects those years, long, long ago when only 1 Big-10 team went to a bowl game . It's way past It's prime on the National stage. Herbie and Joey try to keep it going as best they can now.
WTF are you talking about lol? These recent games have been great. OSU has the most watched games nationally all year. Just won a NC 3 years ago.
The rivalry is far from dead.
In the last 50 years the Big-10 trails the SEC, BIG12, PAC10 and Independents in Nat'l titles outright or shared and would be behind the ACC if they counted Florida St. titles before they joined the ACC. The WAC with BYU's title in 84' won over a 6-5 Michigan team is the only major conference (which is no more ) behind the Big-10 in the past half century. (Just food for thought)
The Hype Bowl. And you are 100% correct in what you have posted.
Since 2000 Michigan has basically been an 8-5 football team. Maybe just a tad BETTER..But not much..In a conference, that in reality, has been poor for a long time. But is constantly being propped up by the media and the major Television companies because of the political clout and the CASH...And it is a joke.
Michigan is 17-24 against Power-5 opponents Out-Of-Conference since the year 2000..That is 41%...
Michigan has played MAC schools 19 times during this time period. They have played 21 other games against non-Power -5 teams Out-Of-Conference...40 games....Just pointing this out to ohio and big 14 HOMERS who are ALWAYS bringing up schedule strength when an outbreak of envytidehatesec comes over them.....
There will be 10's of thousands of people who will tune in to this ballgame to see if ohio's Pinnochio can still put on a TONY,Day-time EMMY,and Academy Award for best supporting ACTOR, worthy performance again this week......"As the pontiff Turns"..Viewed by millions....
