Shane Bieber did not get the win, but he pitched well enough to. He went six innings, gave up two hits, two runs, stuck out 9, while walking just two. Adam Cimber (W, 1-0) struck to out in the ninth, to pick up the win. Carlos Santana blasted his first homer of the season and it was a walk off one to make it even sweeter. The Tribe's offense was doormat most of the night, as they managed just four hits. Cleveland (4-3) got three scoreless innings from the bullpen.

For Toronto (3-6) Joe Biagini (L, 0-1) took the loss, out of the pen. Freddy Galvis (2) blasted a bomb and had two RBI. The Blue Jays, who look to be in for a very long year, managed just three hits.
