What you see is what you get. My only advice to Reds fans is to focus just on watching the playing of the game. The sights, the sounds, hopefully fans in the stands. The traditions of the game make it worthwhile watching without worrying about wins and losses. The Reds front office does not care, why should we?

The Reds NL Central opponent Milwaukee Brewers became significantly stronger with the signing of free agent Jackie Bradley Jr. The former Bosox carries an adequate bat and perhaps the best outfield defensive glove in the game.

It looks to me that Votto has changed his swing some? Doesn’t look nearly as crouched down and isn’t choking up 4 inches on the bat.
He smacked a pretty solid double in yesterday’s game with power behind it. Maybe Votto is ready to swing for more power

Remember the minor league camps are not open and many of these pitchers will be desgnated for assignment. Also with the minor leagues being downsized by roughly one affiliate for each MLB team, this is the last chance for many of these guys to make a 40 man roster prior to their outright release.

That translates to a 118 loss regular season. Maybe they will be out of contention by May 1st so we can just enjoy the playing of the game without worrying about the standings.

Opening day against the Cardinals is just two days away. Only bright spot for the Reds in spring training has been Johnathan India at second. Just be thankful for the sights and sounds of baseball returning.
