A Washington National's employee has been fired after he allegedly threw two cups of hot coffee into the face of a female convenience store employee in the Dominican Republic. Video shows the National's employee identified as Jachiel Morel, exchanging words with the clerk. Before leaving, he's seen picking up two cups and throwing the contents in the clerks face. After reviewing the footage, the National's President of baseball operations Mike Rizzo says the team quickly terminated Morel.

The San Francisco Giants are parting with a fan favorite Sunday. After making a trade earlier in the day with the Tampa Bay Rays, the Giants have designated veteran Hunter Pence for assignment. Pence, 37 yr old, will be placed on waivers following the move. Pence got off to a terrible start this year, and in 56 plate appearances was only hitting .096.
