Cincinnati Reds 2025
Re: Cincinnati Reds 2025
Surprise geronimo, Red's bovine pen is ranked 16th in MLB. I figured it would be much lower. Maybe it just seems that way since we live or die on every game they play.

Re: Cincinnati Reds 2025
Reds had a good weekend taking two of three from the Mets to stay within 4 games of a wild card spot. Too little too late with only 19 games to go plus having to fend of the Giants and Diamondbacks while trying to catch the Mets. Mathematically possible but not likely.

Yep, they done. 4 games are a lot to make up in a wildcard battling with more teams for that last spot. The Francona late season magic wasn't there this year.

Mathematically possible but not likely. Mets have the easiest schedule to close, then the Giants, next the Reds, then the Diamondbacks. Reds just have not been consistent enough to dream they could finish 9-1 or better against the Cubs, Pirates, and Brewers. I'd be just be happy if they hit 81 wins and stay ahead of the Cardinals .Geronimo wrote: Thu Sep 18, 2025 11:11 am Ten games left 7 home 3 road 2 back in wildcard alot of luck win out.?
The Reds best record of the season was 67-60 on August 19th. Since then they have 9-16. Not exactly playoff caliber baseball.

#@$& Reds suck you back in when you think all is lost. Then again would missing out on the last wild card spot be a good thing. If the Reds do qualify, will Reds ownership stand pat for next season saying, " our plan is working". Or would missing out force the Castellinis to at least try and sign a legitimate power bat and some bullpen help?

All comes down to today. Reds win or Mets loss will do it. I counted them out awhile back. Them and the Indians have somehow managed historic comebacks.
