If so that’s extremely unfortunate for the underclassmen who come to practice every day to help prepare the varsity team and then not get to play any games of their own. That will only continue the decline in numbers in the program in my opinion. You need your younger kids getting experience.
they have not played a JV game since week 2. I have been told by a couple of parents that some of the upperclassman flat out refuse to go do and play a couple of qrts. of jv so the underclassmen can play. they have had a few underclassmen quit in the last week. I heard a sophmore and a freshman since last week. Now, is some of that soft kids, sure. Is some of it these underclassmen probably tired of getting beat up in practice with nothing to show for it...... YEP.

So they have enough kids to play a JV schedule but kids are refusing to play? I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to get as many game reps as possible.

You could always bring back Dye, he certainly has figured out the transfer portal at PV. Very sad when kids refuse to play. Sounds like the current coach is in a lose-lose situation which is a loss for all involved.

They would have to bring a few of the varsity kids down to help with the numbers, but yes they could if they did that.

First and Goal wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2024 10:38 am It amazes me that jose it once again blaming a past coaching staff. That staff won games, not to mention I think 6-1 versus the rival, scheduled games they could compete in and win except maybe the Westerville North game that wasn't a smart pick up. Help student-athletes go on college visits, take those kids to the visits and got them opportunities to further their education and continue playing the sport they grew up to love at the next level. People need to take responsibility in raising their own children, but since they can't it seems to always be a coaches fault. A lot the issues start at home, coaches of any sport in high school shouldn't have to deal with the discipline of home life at practices or at games, but its the world we live in so must try to deal with it the best way possible. People always blaming others.
I watched went on with previous coaching staff. Zero discipline, brought in transfers every year, turned a blind eye to kids when they got in trouble. So yes that regime only cared about winning and now the program is paying for it. Yes it does start at home as well but most of the issues started several years ago.
So you're basing your opinion on what you watched. Move on, go argue with someone else who only watched and doesn't know much of the insight in the school and on the field when it came to discipline. I'm not denying transfers, but do you even know how a transfer happens from school to school? Did you even take the time to find out some of those kids home lives before they wanted to transfer? It isn't the coach that can approve of it. Go cry to Ironton or Jackson about transfers. You never liked Williamson from the beginning. He left the program in a winning status and it got destroyed in less than a year, now its into a 2nd year and getting worse. Many have asked if he'd come back. Why would you go back to something you had to build back up, got run into the ground and have re-build again. Move on, cry about the real problems.
Lol I am basing my opinion on facts. You seem to take up for Chuck at every turn-u are either Chuck himself or his son!! I know how transfers work. I could say a lot of stuff about some of the transfers, some issues with the law that were covered up , I could go on and on but dude-I know what a mess it was!! So cry? Sounds to me you are defending yourself. Let's see -it must run in the family-how many transfers does Westland have this year???? WCH will struggle for a couple years but it was Chucky who started the downhill spiral!

No need to cry, stating facts as you want to call it, and your wrong again Jose. I am neither Chuck nor related, just a guy who is close to the community, follows my Blue Lions and close with a school board member. Let's hope this newer Admin group can control things in the school. If your not going to discipline for school and or legal matters why would a football coach take the hit for it. If its a football matter then the coach should discipline. Only believe half you see and nothing you hear. Go Blue Lions!

I have heard nothing but negative things about Everson. It’s probably in the best interest of everyone involved to let Everson go after this year. I think it was a matter of fit and he just didn’t fit in at wch. Make ur change and wish him the best of luck. If Chuck would like to come back then let him. I am sorry but the program is becoming a dumpster fire. The kids are trying there best but they have know leadership with there head coach.

Cry lol Honestly I am someone who does know and I am not wrong. I could bring up 2 major issues he knew about and never disciplined either kid for legal problems. So I stand by my statements.

I would but a forum is not the place to put kids names on here.

Code for you don't know.....Maybe with your obsession about discipline they will let you run the Washington Court House ROTC program or something. Do I believe the discipline can improve under Williamson yes, do I think it was a major issue when he was there...debatable but at least they were winning games. Now they are undisciplined and one of the worst high school football teams in the area. I have a hard time believing if Williamson coached the current team they go 1-9 or 2-8.

So sad to see this happening to a once proud program, wow😟. Definitely not the football program I remember seeing for sure.
