West comes in with a 27-46-2 all time record against Porter township. Both ties occurred in consecutive years against each other 14-14 in 61’ and a 0-0 game in 62’. The average score is 21-14 in favor of the Pirates. Been a lot of really good ball games over the years. Burg has the longest win streak in the series at 13 games that was broken up last year that really separated the records or would otherwise be very competitive. Would love to know just how many games these 2 have played that has decided the SOC championship over the years. I know Burg considers Ironton their biggest rival, but this is still THE Game for West Siders. Back in the day this one was just good old fashion hate. Hopefully we get back to the annual competitiveness.

Last year is in the past and Porter Township is looking for redemption. I hope that West comes in ready.
I do think it will requires wests best performance of the year Friday to get the win, but I think the rest is kind of a negative look. Schedule has been kind of middle of the road and offensive I think our only bad game was against Waverly. Other than that, offense really has been very productive. To be a first year QB tipton has managed the game very well and showed great growth over 9 weeks. I don’t think a lot of playbook has been showed because it’s not needed. If we can find a way to flip the field on a turnover or two and find the endzone we are definitely capable of the upset 2 years in a row.
Burgs offensive approach = which they do not have the athletes to execute at a high level = is predisposed to turnovers. Has been all season. The spread isn't their friend. If West can play clean and control the pace burgs offensive coaches will get impatient and make mistakes in their playcalling.

Just ask Prep. Just gotta be patient in the game plan vs burg.

Just as it should be, the two best teams in the SOC-2 playing for the Championship. Could and should be a tremendous ballgame. Possibly the team that can play the cleanest game, fewest turnovers and penalties, will probably win this game. With the playoffs looming for both of these teams, lets hope for an injury free game for both teams.

Running the ball I’d say they are even. Both have good backs and a good line. Both have pretty good running QB’s also.

Wouldn’t be such a bad thing if it were played on Saturday. That place couldn’t hold that crowd.

SOC 2 Title comes back home to the Burg. The Burg defense will win this game.

What grade is #65 for West?

He will be the best defensive guy burg has faced. He's a really good player. Looks like a high level college prospect.

What is the status of #2 Mason Parker? It seemed as if they had been trying to let him rest. Is he hurt?
I know he was hurt last year. Hopefully, this isn't the case for this week too.

Burg will be without their all Ohio kicker due to an injury suffered early in the Waverly game. The sophomore back up has made the extra points since then with one blocked but doesn’t have the range should they need a long field goal

He’s close. Has the leg from 40 yards out.
