September 1, 2023 Fairfield Union 42 - 3 Warren

Post by Bucknuts88 »

Two Region 15 foes squaring off. Warren looking to rebound from a loss to Morgan. Fairfield Union coming off a blow out win vs. Meigs. Thoughts?

This week will be a good indicator that for whether we take the Morgan game and improve on things, or if we feel a little sorry for ourselves and come out sluggish and let them hang around. I think we’re the better team overall, but they seem to be improving compared to where they were the last time we played them. Hopefully Fairbanks is back in some capacity this week, he’s a big part of what we do offensively and defensively.

This is an interesting matchup. I can see this one going either way, but think the Warriors get it done. Rooting for Big Blue!

I don't know enough about Fairfield Union to post a score prediction, aside from past results, but if the weather is going to be in the 80s again, depth, or lack there of, is going to be a key factor. Warren has none. They were gassed last week, and I've never seen a game with so many cramps. I'm sure it will come down to the trenches, as it always does. Warren is going to have to be more physical if it wants to make a playoff push.

Fairfield is just a little better than Warren with size, depth, and experience. Throw in the home opener on grass and I see a 22-16 win for the Falcons.

I figured this thread would gain more traction. Must not be a lot of FFU fans on here

Hoping the warriors took the morgan game and learned from it. If we play like we did last week we will not beat many teams. Warren by 7 though.

The field looked amazing and Owen Ruff ran wild on it.

I’m shocked that the main players for Fairfield were just Juniors. Hopefully they aren’t on the schedule next year. Better get Vinton County back so we can win. Too bad we can’t get back in the TVC.

I don't even know what to say about this one. Disappointing to say the least. Still a long ways to go, but Jimmy Peyton better get this thing turned around or that seats going to get hott. Especially after that tumultuous off season.

How about get the ball to the one and try to pad your WRs stats. I bet Williams would’ve scored from the one. Too bad he’s gone.

Your seat can’t get hot if you’re the Asst. AD, and your biggest supporter is the AD.
